Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Stip – Study Planner. Please read them before using the app. By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing through, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Provider and store terms

Stip – Study Planner is provided by the developer identified in the app store listing.

These terms apply between you and the developer. If you obtained the app through Apple App Store, Apple is not a party to these terms. Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies unless a valid custom licence is presented through App Store Connect. If you obtained the app through another store, that store’s applicable licence and usage rules also apply. Mandatory store terms prevail if there is a conflict.

2. What the app does

The app is a study-planning and organisation tool. It can help organise classes and schedules, study sessions, subjects, exams, reminders, progress, achievements, statistics, analytics, Home Screen widgets, study templates, and schedule exports. Some features require a paid Pro subscription.

The app is an organisational tool and does not guarantee grades, examination results, admission, or any other educational outcome. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by a school, university, examination authority, government department, employer, or other educational institution.

3. Students and minors

The app is designed to be usable by students, including users who are minors. A minor may accept these terms and use the app to the extent permitted by the laws that apply to them.

If applicable law requires a parent or legal guardian’s consent or involvement for a user to enter into these terms, use a feature, or make a purchase, that consent must be obtained. Nothing in these terms limits additional protections or rights provided to children or minors by applicable law.

4. Licence and acceptable use

Subject to these terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use Stip – Study Planner for lawful personal use on compatible devices.

For an app obtained through Apple App Store, the licence is limited to Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules. The app may also be accessed through Family Sharing or similar Apple functionality where Apple permits and the feature is supported.

• Do not copy or redistribute the app except where expressly permitted by law.

• Do not sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the app.

• Do not interfere with the app, its security, store integration, or entitlement checks.

• Do not remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices.

• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, derive source code, modify, or create derivative works except where applicable law expressly gives you that right.

• Do not use the app unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

5. Your information and content

You may add subjects, study sessions, timetable events, exams, notes, photos, templates, and other planning information. You are responsible for ensuring that this content is lawful and that you have the right to use and share it.

You retain any ownership rights you have in content you create. The app processes that content only as needed to provide the features you choose, as further explained in the Privacy Policy.

6. Local storage and data loss

The current app has no user account or developer-operated cloud database or sync service. Planner and study information is primarily stored locally on your device. Restoring a purchase does not restore your events, exams, preferences, or study history.

Local information can be lost if the app is deleted, app storage is cleared, a device is lost, damaged, or reset, hardware or software fails, or local data becomes corrupted or unavailable. The app does not guarantee that deleted or lost information can be recovered.

A schedule export is not a complete app backup. You are responsible for keeping independent copies of information where its loss could have important consequences. Any operating-system device backup is controlled by the platform provider and is not guaranteed by the developer.

7. Notifications and important dates

The app may provide notifications for study sessions, exams, reminders, or progress summaries. Delivery can be affected by notification permissions, device settings, Focus modes, operating-system behaviour, battery controls, time-zone changes, and user changes. A notification is not guaranteed to arrive or arrive at an exact time.

You must independently verify important exam dates, class times, deadlines, appointments, and reminder settings rather than relying solely on the app.

8. Widgets

The app may provide Home Screen or other system widgets. Widget availability depends on supported device types, operating-system versions, platform configuration, and other technical limitations.

Widgets rely partly on operating-system scheduling and may not update immediately or at an exact requested time. They display information saved in this app and do not read your system calendar.

9. Pro subscriptions and payment

Pro may be offered as an optional auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play. The features included with Pro are displayed in the app. The actual product, full renewal price, currency, billing period, and included features shown by the store and purchase screen before confirmation apply.

Viewing the Pro purchase screen does not itself create a charge. Digital Pro functionality is purchased through the applicable store’s in-app purchase system, and payment is charged to the store account used to confirm the purchase. The developer does not receive your complete credit-card or debit-card details from the store.

• If you are not the store-account holder, you must have the account holder’s permission before making a purchase.

• An auto-renewable subscription continues until cancelled in accordance with the applicable store’s rules.

• You can manage or cancel through the store’s subscription-management controls. Cancellation generally prevents a future renewal while access may continue until the end of the current entitlement period.

• Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.

• Refund requests, billing disputes, price-change consent, and payment processing are handled under the applicable store’s procedures and applicable law.

10. Restoration and expired Pro access

Restore Purchases asks the applicable store to check eligible purchases associated with the current store account. Apple and Google purchases are separate, and a purchase on one platform does not transfer to the other. Restoring Pro does not restore locally stored planner data.

Pro features may become unavailable if a subscription expires, renewal is cancelled, payment fails, a transaction is refunded or reversed, or the store no longer reports an active entitlement. A short local offline status may temporarily preserve access while the store is unavailable.

Ending Pro does not intentionally delete ordinary local planner information solely because the subscription ended, but paid screens and other Pro features may be locked until a valid entitlement is restored. Home Screen widgets remain available. Refund, cancellation, consumer, and statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Photos and exports

The app may let you select a photo for a custom background. You are responsible for having the right to use that photo. Photo access is requested only when you choose the relevant feature and is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

The app may export a schedule as an image or PDF through the operating-system share sheet. You are responsible for reviewing an export before relying on or sharing it. Exported files may display differently across devices, applications, or operating systems, and a recipient or sharing service applies its own terms and privacy practices.

12. Statistics and user-entered information

Study time, streaks, XP, levels, achievements, subject statistics, free-time calculations, and other progress information are intended only for personal organisation and motivation. They are not official academic records or an evaluation by a teacher, school, or examination authority.

Many features depend on information you enter and the device clock or time zone. The app does not independently verify user-entered academic or scheduling information. You remain responsible for checking its accuracy.

13. Updates and availability

The app may be updated to add or improve features, change designs, fix bugs, improve security or performance, maintain operating-system compatibility, change Pro features, or remove functionality that can no longer reasonably be supported. Updates may be required for continued operation.

The developer aims to provide a reliable app, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Temporary issues can result from software bugs, device limitations, operating-system changes, store services, maintenance, third-party services, or circumstances outside the developer’s reasonable control. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

14. Intellectual property and third-party services

The app’s software, design, graphics, branding, interface, and included materials are owned by or licensed to the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These terms give you permission to use the app but do not transfer ownership. Third-party materials remain the property of their owners.

The app relies on operating-system and store services for purchases, notifications, widgets, photo selection, sharing, and external links. You must comply with applicable third-party terms. The developer is not responsible to the extent a problem is caused solely by a third-party service outside the developer’s reasonable control.

15. Maintenance and support

The developer of Stip – Study Planner, not Apple or Google, is responsible for maintenance and support to the extent required by applicable law. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.

Questions, complaints, claims, or support requests can be sent using the Support & contact option in Settings.

16. Warranties, liability, and consumer rights

The app is a general productivity tool, not professional educational, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. It is provided subject to warranties and protections that cannot legally be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, no additional warranty is given that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or future operating-system version.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful or removes statutory consumer, refund, cancellation, or other mandatory rights. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses caused by inaccurate user entries, missed notifications, device failure, loss of local data, unsupported software, store outages, or third-party failures outside the developer’s reasonable control.

The developer, not Apple, is responsible for claims relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including applicable product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, and privacy claims. If a third party claims that the app infringes intellectual-property rights, the developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing that claim to the extent required by law.

For an app obtained through Apple App Store, if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple. Where applicable under Apple’s terms, Apple may refund the purchase price paid for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.

17. Legal compliance

You must use the app lawfully and comply with applicable third-party terms. Where required by Apple’s terms, you represent that you are not located in a country subject to an applicable United States Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed on an applicable United States Government prohibited or restricted-party list.

18. Ending use and changes to these terms

You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling can remove local app information and does not cancel an active subscription, which must be managed separately through the applicable store.

The licence ends if you materially breach these terms. Pro access may also be restricted where reasonably necessary to apply a store entitlement, comply with law, protect app security, prevent unlawful use, or protect rights, subject always to applicable consumer law.

These terms may be updated for changes to the app, Pro, legal or security requirements, or store requirements. The revision date will be updated. Additional notice or consent will be provided where applicable law requires it for a material change.

19.  Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory protections provided by the laws that apply to you, including any consumer rights or dispute-resolution rights that cannot legally be waived.

20. Apple acknowledgement and beneficiary

For the iOS version, you and the developer acknowledge that these terms are between you and the developer, not Apple; the developer is responsible for the app and its content; Apple has no maintenance or support obligation; and your use must comply with Apple’s applicable App Store, Apple Media Services, and Usage Rules.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the provisions of these terms that apply to the iOS version. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce those applicable provisions against you as a third-party beneficiary.

21. Entire agreement, severability, and contact

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply, and the affected provision will be limited only as much as necessary to comply with law.

These terms, the Privacy Policy, the store licence terms, and any purchase terms shown when you subscribe form the applicable agreement concerning your use of Stip – Study Planner. Nothing overrides mandatory law or mandatory store terms.
